What Does a Mission Statement for Internal Customers Sound Like?

Team_meeting Nick from the American Management Association posted a comment yesterday on a post entitled "Internal Customers are Still Customers." He is working on a customer service mission statement centered on internal customers (what a fantastic idea!). Have you ever crafted a mission statement for internal customers? If you were doing so, what would it include? How would you phrase it?

Here's a few of my thoughts...

  • We serve best those who best serve our customers.
  • Serving our customers by providing world-class service to our team mates.
  • Giving exemplary service to our associates, that they may give exemplary service to our customers.
  • Thoroughly convinced that every caller is a customer, and treating them that way.
